Our shared goal at Corrective Chiropractic is to bring total health and wellness to you and your family, as well as to our greater community of neighbors and friends.
Many patients come to us seeking relief from acute back or neck pain, but it isn't long before they discover that chiropractic helps with relief from unexpected issues like seasonal colds, ear infections and allergies, chronic migraines, hormonal imbalances, high blood pressure and cholesterol issues, autoimmune diseases like Rheumatoid Arthritis and countless other medical conditions.
Beyond just feeling better, some report no longer needing their medications based on improved test results. While others no longer need costly and risky procedures and even major surgeries.
In spite of all the evidence about chiropractic's many benefits, insurance companies consider chiropractic as treatment for acute pain or injuries only. Therefore, coverage in most cases will only be granted fir a limited amount of sessions. Extensions are accepted, and some plans allow wellness visits as well. But again, only to a limit. It's difficult for us to understand this logic too, but many patients who arrive at this crossroad, decide that a Chiropractic Wellness Care Plan works great for them. They have begun to see their regular wellness visits as savings in the long-term — economic savings, as well as "saving" them from hospital visits down the road.
Wellness Care Plans Available
To understand the true benefits of chiropractic care is to experience them as a form of wellness screening, monitoring and treatment for the whole person. Chiropractic care is adaptive to their needs as an individual with unique and sometimes complex medical histories that continue to change over time — mind, body and spirit.
Once we have discussed your wellness goals — whether you are in acute pain or feel ok but wish to further optimize your fitness level — we can map out a care plan that is matched with a flexible payment program that works for your budget schedule.
Chiropractic care is often less expensive and more effective than other forms of treatment, such as medications that come with side effects, or invasive surgeries that aren't a guarantee of long-term success and come with high risks of infection, painful recovery, internal scaring and time off from work.
We pride ourselves with low- to no-wait times, and there is no down-time after treatments. Many patients just come in for what they call their weekly "tune up."
Insurance Coverage
We participate with a number of insurance programs, including Medicare, United Healthcare, Aetna, Oxford Health Care, Empire Plan and others. Coverage of chiropractic care varies widely however, so please call the office for more details. We are happy to verify your benefits for you.
We also work with No-Fault Auto Accident Claims for whiplash, back pain, headaches or other conditions that have resulted from an auto accident. Read more about Dr Carnes' advanced certification in treating whiplash and auto accident traumatology.
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
